Teams can complete two exercises prior to the competition:
●    Design Thinking exer
cise (up to 20 points).
●    How to Brainstorm exercise (up to 20 points).

Design challenge revealed.

The specific design challenge will be revealed at the start of the competition on April 12, 2024 at 2:00pm.

Teams begin work.

Each team will be assigned a specific work location.

Pizza and desserts.

Concurrent practice run-throughs with coaches.

Various locations.

Teams check in.

Check in at the McClelland Park lobby for competition day 2.
Donuts, snacks, coffee, and beverages.

●    How it works/rules, round 1 time slots and assignments revealed.

Submit presentation.

  • Teams have 30 minutes to visit their competition site, finalize game plans, and presentations.

  • All presentations must be submitted on D2L by 9:45 am.

Round 1.

  • The first round is scored (100 total points).

  • Four 15-minute sessions.

  • All 20 teams move forward.

  • Teams have 45 minutes to update work before they present in round 2. 

Round 2.

  • The second round is scored (100 total points).

  • Four 15-minute sessions.

  • Teams have 45 minutes to update work before they present in round 2. 

Lunch break.

Semifinalists announced.

Semifinals.

  • Five concurrent sessions.

  • Semifinalists will compete in head-to-head, single elimination heats. 

Break.

  • 20-minute break before Finals.

  • Snacks in MCPRK Lobby. 

Finalists announced.

Grand Finals

  • The top 5 teams will compete in the Grand Finals in-person and Zoom audience.

  • Each team has 10 minutes to present.

  • Random order. 

Winners announced.

  • Additional prize winners will be announced for special awards.
